CA - Are you or your fellow club members in the CalGang Database?

OFF THE WIRE
Are you or your fellow club members in the CalGang Database? How do you even know if you are? How can you be added if you never even committed any gang-related crime? How can this adversely affect you? What can you do and or how can you remove yourself?
The following CA bill looks to help in the following ways..
CA Legislative Counsel's Digest for AB 2298, Criminal Gangs Database (use the link below to read the full write-up)
The bill would require that a person designated as a suspected gang member, associate, or affiliate in a shared gang database who has not been convicted of a violation of gang-related crimes, as specified, within 3 years of the initial designation be removed from the database.
The bill would establish a procedure for a person designated in a shared gang database or who is subject to a gang injunction to challenge that designation or injunction through an administrative hearing and appeal to the superior court.
